Kate Hurst has a varied creative and business background, after owning her own successful label Kate Hurst for nine years, Kate realized that there was a lack of support and education for creative’s in the fashion industry when it came to understanding proper business practices, so she founded Hurst & Co, a business mentoring company catered especially to creative industries.

Since founding the business in 2008 Kate has been behind the scenes in the building of some of Australian fashions most revered designers and businesses today including; Ellery, Romance was Born, Sportsgirl, Arnsdorf, Ruby Smallbone, Limedrop and Tristan Blair.

Kate Hurst’s own label grew from the local markets to be stocked in leading boutiques in the US, Europe and Japan and encompassed collaborations with Sportsgirl and Moxxie. Her label was also regularly featured in leading publications. Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Russh.

Today Kate is inspired by seeing fashion entrepreneurs take control of both their creative and business destiny. She prides herself on assisting these creative’s to implement the right tools, practices and strategies to reach their full potential in this highly competitive industry.
